Carpet Cleaner FAQs

ProForce® Carpet Cleaner has been developed for use in most carpet extraction machines. It does not contain any solvents or petroleum products that might harm plastic, rubber or metal parts, nor does it have an aggressive pH. Always refer to the machine manufacturer's use instructions for compatibility and dilution instructions.

Each manufacturer's machine and solution works at a different dilution ratio and mixes with the water that is sprayed onto your carpet at different levels. Start by filling the bottle half full with Carpet Cleaner then adding water to fill the bottle (1:1 dilution ratio). This should work satisfactorily. If not, adjust the amount of product to water in the cleaning solution reservoir / bottle up or down until you reach satisfactory cleaning results.

This product may be used on most carpeting. Use caution and test an inconspicuous location when attempting to clean wool carpeting, as many colors are not colorfast.

This product is designed for use on a variety of carpet types and colors. However, it is always recommended that the product be tested in an inconspicuous location prior to treating the entire carpet.

A quick "colorfastness" test is to dampen a small area of carpet with water, then blot it dry with a clean white towel. If any color transfers to the towel, the carpet is NOT colorfast.

This product is highly concentrated and should be diluted before applying to carpet. Full strength product may leave a white residue on the carpet that can be vacuumed up after drying.

The white residue is most likely a result of using too high of a concentration of product in the cleaning process. Usually this white residue can be removed by vacuuming the carpet. If vaccuuming does not remove all residue, rinse the carpet by using only clean water in the carpet extraction machine, and rinse and extract the effected area.

It is recommended that pets do not come in contact with the product. Rinse well and allow wet surfaces to dry before returning pets to cleaned surface.

As with all chemicals, regulations prohibit disposal of this product or rinse water in storm drains, lakes or streams. Please help protect the environment by observing all applicable regulations for storage and disposal. Please rinse and recycle the container.

This product, when used as directed, will not harm septic systems.
